A person's age is calculated differently in different cultures. This calculator is based on the most common age system. In this system, age grows on the day of birth. For example, the age of a person who has lived for 3 years and 11 months is 3 and the age will change to 4 on his or her next birthday in the following month. Many western countries use this method of aging. In some cultures, age is expressed by counting years with or without including the current year. For example, one person is twenty years old the same as one person is twenty-one years of his life. In one of the Chinese age-old processes, people are born at the age of 1 and the age grows in the Traditional Chinese New Year instead of birth. For example, if one child was born just one day before the New Year's celebration, 2 days later the child would be 2 years old even though he was only two days old.

In some cases, the day-to-day effect of the calculation may be confusing, especially if the first day is the end of the month. For example, we all calculate February 20 to March 20 to be one month. However, there are two ways to calculate the years from February 28, 2015 to March 31, 2015. If you consider February 28 to March 28 as one month, then the result is one month and 3 days. If you think of both February 28 and March 31 as the end of the month, then the result is one month. Both calculation results make sense. Similar situations exist on days such as April 30 to May 31, May 30 to June 30, etc. Confusion arises from an unequal number of days in different months. In our calculation, we used the previous method.
